This recipe for Jalapeno Crema was created by Victoria based nutrition coach, Ann, of Fettle and Food. She uses this recipe with our Nixtamal Tortillas for a healthy taco night!
Ingredients:
– 1 cup plain yogurt*
– Juice of 1 – 2 limes
– 1 Bunch cilantro stems
– 1 Jalapeño**
– 2 Cloves garlic
– ½ Shallot
– Salt to taste
– Pinch of Lakanto sweetener

DIRECTIONS:
Add into a food processor and blend until smooth.
Uses: Tacos, Eggs, Corn, Dip
Per 1/4 cup (based on 2% greek yogurt)
Calories: 44 calories
Protein: 6.1 grams
Fat: 1.2 grams
Carbohydrates: 1.8 grams
Sugar: 1.9 grams
*Nutritional value uses 2% greek yogurt, but any plain yogurt or lactose free yogurt alternative will work
**If you enjoy more heat, use 2 jalapeno’s or include some seeds from the jalapeno
